On his journeys through Spain's southernmost province, Karl Lang came across many important testaments to Moorish architecture such as the Alhambra in Granada and the Mosque in Córdoba; with his panorama camera, he also captured impressive images of the towns and the rural life of Andalusia, which is still characterised today by Arab rule in the Middle Ages.

During his trips to Greece, Axel Mosler visited not only the mainland and the Peloponnese peninsular, but also the islands scattered like jewels over the Aegean Sea. In addition to the capital city of Athens, his photographs also portray the most beautiful coastal regions and the mountain villages with their Byzantine «onion-dome» churches. Time and again, our gaze directed to the ancient temples — a legacy of the epoch which made the country the cradle of Europe.

Ernst Steiner has visited India innumerable times in recent decades, touring every region of the sub-continent from the Himalaya regions in the north to the coasts of the south. With his camera he has captured impressive panoramas of the unique landscape, the culture and the colourful life of the people of this fascinating country.

Michael Nischke toured the capital of Cuba several times in order to capture the charm of this Caribbean metropolis. In addition to the well-known sights of the old town, now a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, he immerses himself again and again in the day-to-day life of the inhabitants away from the usual tourist routes.

Sweeping landscapes, from the forests of the high alpine ranges and mountain pastures down to the lakes and beaches characterise the legendary beauty of this green jewel set in the South Pacific. Oliver Bolch toured the North Island and South Island for three months with his panorama camera to capture the variety of the broad and unspoilt nature of New Zealand.

Norway — the land of fjords and the midnight sun. The panorama photographs by Axel Mosler, taken during the course of many visits, provide unique impressions of this Scandinavian country. Small harbours and picturesque fishing villages, dense pine forests and the capital city of Oslo are impressively portrayed.

The panorama photographs by Axel Mosler reflect the colours and moods of Scotland in impressive imagery. From the rapidly changing lighting conditions of the dark cloud-strewn sky to brillant sunshine, a multi-faceted portrait has been created of the country, which is equally famous for its evergreen meadows, highland moors and bottomless lochs as for its picturesque villages and myterious castles.

During his innumerable trips at all times of the year, Ernst Steiner has captured Venice in all its glory with his panorama camera. In addition to the well-known sites such as St Mark's Square and the Grand Canal, his pictures also portray to us picturesque, out-of-the-way alleys and daily life in this north Italian city of lagoons.

Auf vielen Reisen, die Prof. Jaroslav Poncar im Laufe mehrerer Jahrzehnte durch den gesamten Himalaya unternahm, sind unzählige Aufnahmen entstanden. Dabei war es Poncar immer auch wichtig, ein möglichst authentisches Bild der Kultur und des Lebens in der höchsten Bergregion der Erde zu vermitteln. Hierfür schloss er sich zum Beispiel für mehrere Wochen tibetischen Nomaden an. In Sachen Größe setzt der Bildband Maßstäbe; aufgeschlagen misst er annähernd einen Meter und zeigt so die Weite und Vielfalt der einmaligen Landschaft und deren Bewohner.

Helmut Hirler hat die drei letzten Lebensjahre seiner Großmutter, bei der er aufgewachsen ist, photographisch begleitet. Vorsichtig und einfühlsam dokumentiert dieser kleine Band die letzten Stationen eines Lebens.

For ten years now, Jürgen Mai has worked with 380° photography. Frankfurt as a subjekt has held it's grip on him since his days as a student and he goes to great lengths in order to draw a unique portrait of this city at the river Main; thus, he has himself lifted up to a height of 200 metres by a crane to get his surround shot in the midst of the skyscrapers for instance; yet with his inimitable technique, he also depicts the life and the people of this city.

Karl Lang took his time to explore this huge country in several journeys that took him into its most remote regions. In addition to traditional country life, this photo book also depicts the bustling rhythm of China's metropolitan areas. Portraits of the inhabitants of the respective regions complement the impressive panorama images.

Jahrelang war Wulf Liebau mit Fahrrad und Panorama-kamera zu allen Jahreszeiten in Berlin unterwegs. Mit diesem Bildband präsentiert er eine ganz eigene Sicht auf seine Heimatstadt. Neben den bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten hat Liebau auch viele unbekannte Facetten der deutschen Hauptstadt beleuchtet und in spektakulärer vertikaler Panoramaphotographie festgehalten. Mit der Edition Panorama Bibliothek bringen wir die außergewöhnlichen Panorama-Photographien unserer Autoren in einer preisgünstigeren Reihe zum Verschenken und Sammeln heraus. Sie wurde unmiitelbar nach dem erscheinen bereits vom Deutschen Designer Club für ihre hervorragende Gestaltung ausgezeichnet und erhielt jüngst den IF Communication Design Award und den Sappi European Printer of the Year Award.

Der Bildband zeigt ein «Best Of» von Horst Hamanns vertikalen Panorama-Photographien, die ihn weltweit bekannt gemacht haben. Neben den Klassikern der Serie New York Vertical und Paris Vertical sind unter anderem auch unveröffentlichte Aufnahmen von Hongkong, London, Frankfurt und Berlin zu sehen.

In den preisgekrönten Blumenphotographien von Richard Fischer nehmen Pflanzen aus aller Herren Länder skulpturalen Charakter an. Unendlich viel Aufwand ist notwendig, die Pflanzen so zu arrangieren und zu beleuchten, dass sie anschließend auf dem Abzug in solcher Perfektion, Detail-treue und Farbigkeit erscheinen.

Wochenlang war Helmut Hirler in Island unterwegs, um für diesen Bildband zu photographieren. So entstanden diese einmaligen Infrarotaufnahmen von Gletschern, Geysiren, Wasserfällen und Landschaften, die im nordischen Licht besonders imposant erstrahlen.

Drei Jahre lang hat Jaroslav Poncar in Indien gelebt und während dieser Zeit mehrfach alle Regionen des Subkontinents bereist. Dabei entstanden diese einmaligen Panoramaaufnahmen, die neben den weltbekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie dem Taj Mahal und dem Goldenen Tempel auch das alltägliche Leben der Bewohner in den Städten und auf dem Land zeigen.

Die perfekt komponierten Panorama-Photographien, die Karl Lang im Laufe vieler Reisen in die Metropole an der Seine aufgenommen hat, zeigen die französische Hauptstadt in prachtvollen Farben und vielen Stimmungen. Neben den bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten hat er auch jene kleinen Plätze, Parks und Straßen aufgespürt, die Paris so liebens- und lebenswert machen.

Michael Nischke ist über viele Jahre hinweg bei Wind und Wetter durch die bayrische Landeshauptstadt gezogen, um stille und zeitlose photographische Porträts seiner Wahlheimat zu zeichnen. Dabei hat er, neben den bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten, auch die unbekannten Facetten der «heimlichen Hauptstadt» aufgespürt. Eingeführt wird der Bildband durch ein Text von Hans Pleschinski.

For this project, Oliver Bolch explored Australia from end to end with his panorama camera. The brillant colour photographs of the fifth continent show the virgin rainforests of the north, the arid, red waste of the outback and the glorious beaches along the coast. The traces of the relatively recent settlement of the country are also recorded on film – lonely and forgotten places, as well as pulsating metropolises like the major cities of Melbourne and Sydney.

Karl Lang has sought out thousands of bridges of all five continents in order to record them with his panorama camera. Following the great success of the illustrated volume in XXL format, we now present the most spectacular and unusual images in this format, too. Every type of bridge construction is documented, from a small footbridge in Japan to the world-famous Brookly Bridge in New York.

The second-largest country in the world fascinates the eye with its vast forests, lakes and mountains. In the classic panorama format, Axel Mosler has captured not only the limitless landscapes and nature's display of the changing seasons, but also the major cities of Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal and the small settlements inland and along the coast.

During his many trips through China, Karl Lang has created an unusual insight into this enormous empire of the Orient. In addition to the traditional rural life and the pulsating metropolises such as Beijing and Shanghai, the perfectly-composed panorama photographs also show the beauty of the landscape of this country so foreign to us.
